This have happened: Plano Balloon Festival
The 27th Annual ViewPoint Bank Plano Balloon Festival was held September 22 24, 2006 at Oak Point Park.
The Plano Balloon Festival Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 agency that is dedicated to producing a family oriented, high quality event that offers other local non-profits an opportunity to assist in the operations of the Festival.
Plano Balloon Festival is held each September in the City of Plano, Texas.
The venue of the Plano Balloon Festival precludes events common at other balloon festivals, such as the key grab or bag drop.
The EDS Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival would not happen without the help of many volunteers!
Subsequent Plano Balloon Festivals are scheduled for September 21 23, 2007 and September 19 21, 2008.
The City of Plano is located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, which is densely populated.
Boasting a collection of over 26,000 print, microform, map and CD-ROM items, the Genealogy collection is a “must do” for any researcher.
Plano Balloon Festival Volunteer Chase Crew purposes ONLY.
Possible events include balloon launch; various shows ranging from children’s science exhibits to dancers; and live bands.
A $5,000 check was presented to the Genealogy, Local History, Texana and Archives Division of the Plano Public Library System, one of several donations made by the group.
Our objective is to offer the participating non-profit agencies an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for their programs and services…thus enhancing the quality of life for all of us.
Food specialists this past year conducted 3,401 food inspections, identifying 10,960 violations on routine inspections.

Such competitions require large, open spaces for the balloons to maneuver.

Crewing is a wonderful opportunity to meet great people and be part of a team.
After dusk, several balloon pilots assemble with their equipment on the balloon launch field and conduct synchronized firings of their balloon’s burners, an event known as a balloon glow.
