Chupacabra Sightings
Phylis Canion holds the head of what she is calling a chupacabra at her home in Cuero, Texas, on Friday. She found the animal dead outside her ranch and thinks it is responsible for killing many of her chickens.
Reidel was hot on the tail of what just might be a chupacabra. The animal captured the attention of everyone around here last year after one was caught and now this video.
It looks like a dog or coyote. But if you know the chupacabra legend, you’re going to look a little harder - and if you have a camera - hit record.
Chupacabra means “goat sucker” in Spanish. Now the reclusive - and some say mythical beast - has been caught on camera. See the video and decide for yourself.
The creature has a strong, course coat of hair; and color varies from sighting to sighting; however, the colors are consistent with the times of the sighting (same colors during the day, different colors at night). This leads many to believe the Chupacabra can change like a chameleon, to blend in with the surroundings and avoid detection.
Canion and some of her neighbors discovered the 40-pound (18-kilogram) bodies of three of the animals over four days in July outside her ranch in Cuero, 80 miles (128 kilometers) southeast of San Antonio. Canion said she saved the head of the one she found so she can get to get to the bottom of its ancestry through DNA testing and then mount it for posterity.
A small and calm town in Texas was astounded by the sight of an amazing phenomenon on 8th Jan 2008. It is considered to be another one of Stephenvilles UFO which was noticed in the clear sky. Stephenville residents were amazed by the sighting and immediately reported it to the authorities. This isnt the first time that this town has witnessed history repeat itself.
Sightings aren’t limited to household mothers, as Michael Negron can attest. Negron, a 25 year-old college student, claims to have seen a chupacabra kill his family goat while he watched in horror from the second story balcony.
Some Orange County residents thought they spotted a chupacabra in Santa Ana in 1996, according to news reports. A construction worker who fell asleep near his apartment window said he woke up to see a large, shadowy figure of the legendary beast.
Guevara said the stories may have been a parental tactic to keep mischievous children like him home at night. But, despite his chupacabra hunts, he has never stopped believing the urban legend.
Billy Nubian, a resident of Tuscon, kept two goats, Mattie and Delilah, penned up outside his trailer. There, he found a large “ratlike creature” attacking Mattie. Upon seeing Nubian, the chupacabra “let out this unhuman shriek” and went running.

A Chupacabra has never been photographed, but reported sightings have provided creatively creepy descriptions: a half-man, half-beast creature that scours the countryside looking for prey, including farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, sheep and goats. It is this last prey that inspired the Chupacabra’s name.
The chupacabra reportedly stands four to five feet tall on two powerful hind legs. It has been known to leap up to 20 feet. It has skin like a reptile that can change colors to blend in with its surroundings. Spikes stretch from its head to the bottom of its back. It has eerie red eyes and long fangs, with a slimy forked tongue that constantly glides in and out of its mouth.
