An American Carol is a comedy and a parody of leftist filmmaker Michael Moore. The lead character in the movie is Michael Malone (Kevin Farley), who is visited by three ghosts in A Christmas Carol-like manner. 3
And with this freedom…yadda, yadda, yadda, you get the point. ldquo;An American Carol” is using satire to make fun of the powerless. Among the targets in the film are: Michael Moore, Jimmy Carter, anti-war protestors, the ACLU, and liberal colleges. That is not to say those targets aren’t worthy of some mockery (oh they are), but none of them have the influence or power of the targets the film is trying to protect. 6
Zucker, a big name Hollywood producer and a former liberal, said after 9/11 he realized the American left weren’t the people that could defend the country from terrorism. He wrote Senator Boxer and told her there’d be no more money from him, he was finished with liberals. The public debate that followed 9/11, especially the noise from Hollywood’s leftwingers, really helped Zucker focus on his next movie idea. 4
An American Carol is a satire of contemporary American culture, particularly the Hollywood, reports Variety. Zucker wrote the screenplay with Myrna Sokoloff and will finance the film with Stephen McEveety. Production for the film is scheduled to start Feb 28 on location in Los Angeles. 2

Much like Mark Twain, Zucker doesn’t want you to take it all too seriously. Like Zucker, most moviegoers will laugh and simply enjoy the movie. They won’t take it too seriously. But of course they’ll believe most of it. The message is clear. 9
Finally Hollyweird will be getting a dose of its own medicine. But it will be amazing to see how quickly this film will be shot down by left wing movie critics. 5
